Although the composition of this magnet is based on neodymium, this element is combined with boron and iron to form the compound Nd2Fe14B.
It is produced using the powder metallurgy method. It consists in pressing powdered ingredients at high temperature and in a strong magnetic field. The production process ends with covering the magnet with a nickel, zinc or phosphate coating.
